Under the supervision of the MBAC Director, the Marine Maintenance Technician manages the repair and maintenance of MBAC equipment and facility. This primarily includes performing repairs and preventative maintenance on the MBAC powerboat fleet as well as sailboats and paddlecraft. The powerboat fleet includes Nautique wakesports boats with inboard gasoline engines and Mercury outboard-powered Boston Whalers. Responsibilities also include performing and supervising skilled manual tasks in the alteration, maintenance, and repair of all MBAC boats, marine equipment, facility, and other related work as required.
Under the supervision of the Sailing Program Assistant, Sailing Instructors will teach sailing to students of all ages with varying levels of experience.
Under the supervision of the Youth Programs and Events Supervisor, Marine Science/STEM Instructors will perform hands-on, outdoor marine science and STEM related activities for participants at The Watersports Camp and Mission Bay Aquatic Center. Activities include data collection, designing/building ROV’s, snorkeling, kayaking, bodyboarding, field trips, and other various indoor and outdoor student-driven learning activities. Must be available to work June through August with flexible work opportunities throughout the school year.
College students studying marine science, environmental studies, or other STEM-related majors who are interested in teaching and passionate about their field of study are highly encouraged to apply. Bilingual students highly encouraged to apply.

Under the direction of the Paddling Program Assistant, Paddling Instructors are responsible for teaching stand up paddling and/or kayaking to students of all ages with varying levels of experience.
Under the supervision of the Wakesports Program Assistant, Wakesports Instructors will drive boats and teach wakesports (wakeboarding, waterskiing, wakesurfing) to students of all ages with varying levels of experience.
Under the direction of the Instructional Supervisor, the Dockmaster is responsible for providing a safe and enjoyable rental experience for MBAC customers. The Dockmaster will assist with the rental of sailboats, kayaks, stand up paddleboards, and rowing equipment. When not assisting customers, Dockmasters will complete safety inspections and preventative maintenance projects and ensure that MBAC yard/storage areas are presentable and obstruction free.
Under the direction of the Office Supervisor, the Office Assistant is responsible for operations at the front desk including cash handling, sales, customer service, data input, and other administrative tasks and projects.
