MBAC Serves City Therapeutic Services Wheelchair Camp and Camp Wet & Wild
The Mission Bay Aquatic Center has been developing equipment and methods for adapting water sports for persons with disabilities for the past 20 years. This month we are proud to serve the City of San Diego Therapeutic Services during the City of San Diego Wheelchair Camp and Camp Wet & Wild . Both events offer participants the ability to participate in sports they may not be able to participate in without adapted equipment or specially trained staff. Activities include sailing, waterskiing, kayaking, and jet skiing. Specially designed skiis and paddle holders for kayaks help individuals with some disabilities to operate the equipment independently. The MBAC is committed to making water sports available to people of all levels of ability.
