MBAC hosts Aztec Nights Event

Program meant to provide alternative to partying.

The Mission Bay Aquatic Center hosted an event on the SDSU campus as part of the Universities efforts to provide programming as an alternative to students partying and closely associate drinking and drug-use. Dubbed "Aztec Nights" the program hosted several events during the first few weeks of the semester, and will continue mothly offerings through out the year.

MBAC hosted a movie night which featured the San Diego premiere of the new surf movie, The Pursuit, and Liquid Force's anthem to wakeboarding, The Truth. There was also live music by Years Around the Sun, free food from Rubio's, and tons of free giveaways including a Liquid Force wakeboard and a $750 Oakley watch. One activity of the event allowed students to have an event picture emailed to them surfing a giant wave. About 300 students took part in the event throughout the night.
