MBAC selected Best of San Diego in San Diego CityBeat reader's poll
The Mission Bay Aquatic Center was selected as "Best General Interest or Recreational School" in a reader's poll for the Best of San Diego edition of San Diego CityBeat magazine. The edition, released Wednesday, November 8th is titled "Best of San Diego: a toast to authenticity" because reader's were encouraged to vote for places that made San Diego an authentic town. The edition can be picked up in newsstands and shops throughout San Diego.
Program Manager Kevin Waldick feels that the friendliness and attitude of the staff at the MBAC earned the facility the honor.
"It's great to have our staff get recognized for what a great job they do", says Program Manager Kevin Waldick. "They work really hard to be real and to make people feel welcome and comfortable while they learn."
He feels that that level of service leads to students feeling like a part of the MBAC family by the end of their class.
Students usually end up coming back again and again to the point where they get on a first name basis with most of the staff." according to Waldick. "It's a great place to learn!"
