Summer camp season is here!!!
Mission Bay Youth Watersports Camp kicked off the summer camp season on June 4th as week one of thirteen hosted a small group of campers, mostly from out-of-state schools. While most San Diego schools don't break for summer until the 3rd week of June, many out-of-state and year round schools are already off.
"We have an interesting group of kids here this week," observed Programs Manager Kevin Waldick. "We have kids from Florida, Texas, Memphis and even as far as New Zealand!"
"Early summer is a great time to participate if you are available due to the smaller camp groups."
New camp programs this year include a 1/2 day afternoon wakeboarding camp, and a new and improved marine science camp that includes a new week field trip that varies from week to week (see schedule below).
