Aaron Gorman's wealth of experience comes from his 20 years of kayaking experience. He grew up kayaking the coastline along Santa Barbara and Ventura, as well as along the shores of the Channel Islands. Aaron has been a kayak instructor at the Mission Bay Aquatic Center since moving to San Diego to attend SDSU in 1999. He enjoys teaching all levels of kayaking instruction, as well as draws special satisfaction from teaching accessible kayaking. He formerly served as the Lead Kayaking Instructor at MBAC.

What is the most exciting part of kayaking?

Kayaking effects people on many different levels. Some people enjoy the thrill of paddling the rough waters of the open ocean, or catching a wave while kayak surfing. Others are drawn to the leisure of paddling the calm coves of Mission Bay. Either way, the versatility of kayaking can be a great experience for all!
