When most people think about Kentucky they don't think about sailing. Having grown up in Kentucky , Cody got his first exposure to sailing Boy Scout Camp on Kentucky Lake . During high school Cody spent three summers working at Camp Roy C. Manchester where he taught small boat sailing for two summers and led a high adventure sailing program during another. His love for the water and sailing led him to join the Navy where he served as an aviation electronics technician. Cody also is currently attending San Diego State University and is pursuing a degree in Aerospace Engineering.

Why do you love teaching sailing and windsurfing?

  It's great to have students you've taught decide they'd like to retire aboard their own sailboat, children that want to join their school's racing team, or work with people that just want something fun and exciting to do on the weekends. People of all walks of life can learn to harness the power of the wind and enjoy these great activities.
