INSTRUCTIONAL MANAGER

Kevin Straw is the Instructional Manager for the MBAC. He has been working at the Aquatic Center since he was hired as a sailing and surfing instructor in 1996. He graduated from UCLA in 1997. Under his leadership as Camp Director, Mission Bay Youth Watersports Camp experienced unprecedented growth and evolved into the excellent program that exists today. He briefly left the Aquatic Center in 2002 to take part in a sailing expedition from Puerto Vallarta, Mexico to Auckland New Zealand and spent over 8 months exploring the islands of the South Pacific. After returning in 2003 Kevin assumed the duties of MBAC Instructional Manager where he is applying his experience into developing outstanding instructional programs. He is knowledgeable about the sports offered at MBAC and it is not uncommon to see him out on the water enjoying all the sports MBAC has to offer.
