ADVANCED SWEEP ROWING SCHEDULE

6 hours. 4 class sessions. Now that you have learned the fundamentals of the rowing stroke, you are ready for advanced sweep rowing. You will refine your technique through technical drills, visual critiques, and lots of rowing. You’ll row in various types of boats such as the "four" and the challenging "pair". This class is an excellent way to stay in shape and perfect you stroke. 16 hours. 8 class sessions. This course introduces sculling technique, terminology, and water safety using the very stable wherry. Toward the end of the class the students are moved into the faster and more responsive training single. Small class size ensures individual attention and rapid progression. 8 hours. 4 class sessions. You have learned how to row the single, and would like to work on technique and improve your rowing. This class is for you. Students benefit by having our instructors evaluate and critique their technique while going through many drills and lots of rowing. With small class sizes we will help you achieve your goals whether they be more enjoyment of the sport or moving the boat faster. Graduates are qualified to check out the training singles. Prerequisite: Completion of Level I Sculling or consent of the instructor.

8 hours. 4 class sessions. Advance your sculling skills in this new class! Using new racing singles from Drew Harrison Racing Shells, you will get the feel of sculling in a "true" shell under the guidance of a rowing coach. In addition to lots of rowing and working to perfect your technique, the class will cover training strategies, rigging, and race skills and tactics. Limited to 3 persons, this class will give you the skills necessary to row on your own in one of the many races in Southern California. Graduates are qualified to check out the single shells. Prerequisite: Level II Sculling or consent of instructor.
